The way to
Sol City
is north, along
Kraken Bridge
, a grassy wetland that
cuts through the giant lake, Ligeia Mare.

When you arrive, head over to the gym. A queue has formed and blocks your way.
The recent Trainer's School graduates will move if you ask them... after a battle!

Your rival is waiting in the queue. If you want, you can battle him too. His third Pokemon depends on your choice of starter.

to find Pytheas so you can get a PokeNav.
On the bridge, there's a trainer battle in progress. Team Nova is back!

It's a short-lived battle. Intervene to stop the aggressive Nova.

The defeated trainer happens to be Pytheas! Very convenient.
He'll accompany you for a while to pick up some skills, and he'll
give you a PokeNav when you get to his house.

He'll take you to
Sol City Cavern
, and suggest a quick detour
to the depths of the inner cavern.

After you defeat her, head into the inner cavern.
But Leomina and her siblings really do not want to be interrupted!

After realizing that exploring this cavern is sort of a bad idea,
it's time to head to Pytheas' house.

With Pokenav in hand, let's see if the gym is clear for a challenge.
On your way over, it's a good idea to head west to
Versant Megrez
and meet Rarai,
a friendly illusionist who likes inverse battles. She'll accept
you as a rival and give or teach you something useful each time you
battle her.
